Finally 2 finished projects!

Hello! I'm so excited to finally have something to post on this cute blog. Thanks for letting me be one of your sisters in quilting! Late last night I attached the rest of the binding on to Claire's quilt. Thanks Natalie so much for sharing this darling pattern with me. This is from Nancy Halvorson's Winsome Baby collection- it's the "pip sqeak" quilt. I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I definitely need some more help and practice on doing hand applique, but I love doing the hand quilting!

My mom and I had fun putting this table runner together while I was visiting Boise. I did this fun fall runner. The fabrics are Moda's "Pumpkins Gone Wild." The pattern is from Heather Mulder Peterson's "Little Charmer's II." This one was my first time trying machine quilting- it was a lot easier than I expected- especially with that walking foot. My mom learned this great trick from another quilting friend: on the back of your table runner put a fabric for a different holiday or season. I put this summery juice fabric on the back- so now I can use it for more than one season!

I recently realized that finishing a project is very fulfilling. I've decided to make more time to quilt! It's relaxing as well as gives a real sense of accomplishment! Thanks for letting me share and for sharing your fun projects as well!

A quilter's must have!!!

Seriously this thing is amazing, if your like me and the ruler sometimes slides this little gripper works great. You can put it on any of your rulers and it just sticks with it suction cups. I love it, I just got it and I cant believe I didn't buy one sooner!!!
Also while I was searching on some blogs I found this SITE that had a tutorial for these cutest bag and it was so simple I had to make one and I just happened to have some fabric lying around(imagine that...) I made this is two hours thats how easy this was. I adjusted the size of it because I wanted it to be bigger it is a very versatile pattern. I also added pockets on the inside and I put the handle's in a different spot. A little tid bit though if you change the size just measure the outside piece before you sew the sides up so you have the measurements for the lining.
Also check out this SITE tutorail for cute storage cubes(scroll down to find it)!! There are some really creative people and I love when they share its great.
